Chevron Belts

Chevron conveyor belts are used primarily when the angle of incline becomes too steep for a smooth conventional conveyor belt. The belt is fitted with integrally moulded cleats which prevent the material from sliding backwards as would be the case with a smooth surface belt. Different cleat designs allow the carrying of many types of material, from bulk solids to unit loads.

All SBS chevron conveyor belts are produced with integrally moulded profiles fitted into the belt's top cover during manufacture. The shape of the chevron profiles has been carefully designed to assure excellent smooth return side support on full width return idlers and good self cleaning properties.

Incline angles achievable depend upon the material's characteristics and the type of chevron belt selected. Please enquire with our Technical Dept for advice.

Construction and Plies:	All belts incorporate polyester / polyamide (EP) textile plies. Standard tension ratings available are: EP200/2; EP250/2; EP315/3; and EP400/3. Other ratings are available to special order.
Covers:	Standard Covers available are: 2:1mm; 2:1.5mm; and 3:1.3mm. Thicker covers can be supplied to special order.
Profiles:	All SBS chevron conveyor belt profiles are integrally moulded. Standard profiles heights are: 10mm; 15mm; 25mm; and 35mm.
